DRAWING
The Ryder Studio, established in 2007, is an art school located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, offering classes in drawing and painting from life in a naturalistic style that unites high quality drawing with clear, vibrant color and light.
Our yearly cycle of courses consists of three, two-week Summer Workshops, in figure drawing, portrait drawing and portrait painting and, from September to April, The Atelier, a comprehensive, 24-week long life drawing and painting program.
Our teaching has its origins in the philosophy and techniques of Ted Seth Jacobs, revered draftsman, painter, teacher and author, with whom Anthony and Celeste Ryder studied from 1983 to 1989. It is suitable for beginning, intermediate and advanced students, ages sixteen and up.

OUR SCHOOL
OUR CLASSES
Classes meet six hours a day, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Students and instructors paint and draw from the live model. Frequent demonstrations. Detailed instruction.
